Annual Meeting 2021

PROVINCE I EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN ANNUAL MEETING was held on SATURDAY, JUNE 12, 2021 9:00 – 12:30

The meeting started with a welcome by Susan Howland, president and two prayers by Chaplain Rev. Liz Habecker.  Attending were 16 people attending from 5 Dioceses, and one person from Ohio. 

Karen Patterson, National Episcopal Church Women President, sent her greeting from her home in Florida.  She reported that the unofficial theme for the triennial convention is “fluid” as there have been, and continue to be, many changes.  Triennial begins on July 7, 2022 and ends on July 13.  The National ECW website has all the current information about the triennial meeting, including the ability to register.  https://ecwnational.org/

Rowan Larson was elected as United Thank Offering representative from Province 1.  They were recently ordained to the Deaconate at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Boston.  They stressed that Gratitude Theology is important to them, as is learning about the history and future of Episcopal Church Women.  Rowan works in the area of formation in the Diocese of Massachusetts.

Lois Frankforter gave a report on Girls Friendly Society.  The National Assembly will be held virtually July 16-18 from South Africa https://www.gfsus.org/
